Problem
The General Manager of an open cut coalmine had the highest productivity excavators within the company group. Still he knew there were 10% productivity improvement targets in the pipeline and he didn’t know how he would meet them.
Results
Onirik engaged in a pilot project to duplicate his top operator’s results. Productivity of the excavator operators in the test group increased by 19% while those for the control group remained at previous levels. The project had paid for itself within 1 month (before it was complete) and became a self‐funding exercise.
